1. MATERIAL: This type of respirator (Elastomeric) has facepiece made out of thermoplastic, synthetic rubber and natural rubber designed to prevent airborne contaminants. 2. FUNCTION: Has a single cartridge/filter to protect the wearer from inhaling toxicity chemicals, dust and mist for a limited time. 3. ELASTIC HEAD STRAP: Can be adjusted to size to fit the wearers head sealing the nose and mouth protecting the wearer from inhaling particulate substances. 4. CARTRIDGE: Used to filter out particles, dust, mist, etc. 5. OCCUPATIONS FOR USE: The respirator is intended for applications which may require the user to enter or exit a hazardous area, or work within the area for a limited time. 6. SAFETY STANDARD: OSHA’s respirator standard, 29 CFR 1910.134, requires the use of respirators to protect employees from breathing contaminated and/or oxygen-deficient air when effective engineering controls are not feasible, or while they are being instituted.
